Primary Tasks: Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to the proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck; stacks materials for storage or binning; collects refuse and salvageable materials; digs fill and tamp earth excavations; levels ground using a pick, shovel, and rake; shovels materials such as concrete or snow; cleans culverts, ditches, sidewalks, streets, and buildings; cuts and trims grass, trees, shrubs, and brush; operates power lawnmowers, equipment, and vacuums; moves and arranges pieces of heavy office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances; moves and arranges pieces of automotive, medical, engineering and other types of machinery and equipment; spreads materials such as sand or salt on icy walkways and roads; Cleans moss debris from roofs and rain gutters; performs paint prep work such as removing doors and trim, sanding, staining, painting to include labeling for reinstallation.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM: High school diploma or equivalent; must possess a valid Driver’s License; ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Background Check (T1); previous experience using extension ladders; previous experience using lawn equipment; capability to understand Maintenance trade practices and follow safety and health standards; attention to detail, ability to follow directions; ability to work independently and as part of a team; must be able to communicate clearly (oral and written) in the English language; ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 75 lbs. or more.

PREFERRED: Previous experience of (1) year or more in a like or similar position; previous experience using extension ladders; previous experience using lawn equipment.

Other Requirements: Must be able to complete a criminal record background check; must be able to drive a company vehicle and be insured; must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance if necessary; must comply with all company policies; complete fall protection training prior to using extension ladders.
