Job Details | Job Summary: Work Control I Clerk will support routing work requests, creating and dispatching work assignments according to priority, and verifying work completion in compliance with contract standards. This position will also assist coordination of work between shops. Transcribes and maintains records of service calls, work orders and files information. Primary Tasks: Uses application of experience and judgment in selecting procedures to be followed, and searching for interpreting, selecting, or coding items to be entered from a variety of document sources; creates work request, work orders, and assigns appropriate priority in accordance with contract specifications; enters completed work orders and required documentation into Company and Coast Guard Computer systems; accurately files Company records; act as backup for other positions in Work Control Center; verify the completion of received documents; reconcile recorded work against completed work orders; enters completed work orders into the CMMS; create reports based on CMMS system information; assist Leads and Managers with monitoring work task progress and deadlines; assigns work to appropriate shops/trades; will be required to assist with coverage of Customer Help Desk during assigned hours; all other relevant duties assigned by manager. Required Education, Skills and Experience: Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (T1); advanced Computer and Data Entry Skills; advanced Microsoft Office applications skills (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); able to work independently and have excellent documentation and organizational skills; must be able to meet deadlines with attention to detail; must be able to maintain a high level of customer service; ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; must be able to clearly communicate in the English Language (read and write) Preferred: One (1) year of previous experience in a like or similar role or education in lieu of; experience with CMMS programs, TMA, or Maximo; customer service experience.
