Essential Duties:
- Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions and accounting reports and write, types or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, debits and credits or other records.
- Compiles stock control records and information such as error rates and return reason codes.
- Opens containers, off-loads and checks in loads.
- Convey and move beer kegs from receiving and production areas to storage or to other designated areas utilizing heavy equipment or drop roll and/or lift techniques.
- Compares stock numbers, authorized substitutes and other listed information with references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
- Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
- Conveys and moves materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or production code.
- Sorts and stores some goods in refrigerated rooms.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to loading station or stacks into trucks.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Arranges stock in specified sequence for distribution by other workers.
- Drives and operates lifting equipment to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferably one year warehouse experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required to obtain certification and safely operate material handling equipment (MHE) to include forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, slip sheet attachment, and/or clamper truck or attachment. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
