Job Details | Essential duties: assist in unloading trucks & stocking items in storerooms; complete appropriate documents for cargo shipment on military & commercial aircraft; pack, weigh, mark label & manifest all material for shipment; assign transportation control numbers & track material to final destination; load/off-load cargo from aircraft & verify it against manifest; conduct build-up of 463L pallets for shipment by military air; certify hazardous cargo according to appropriate IAW regulations; perform passenger processing & reporting activities; identify correct materials, parts & assemblies needed & submit Material Requisition Forms to Procurement; locate material, parts & assemblies through the Air Force Centralized Database System or identify vendors capable of providing the item(s) with associated pricing; monitor Due In from Maintenance (DIFM) program & all operations around aircrafts when Logistics Techs are unavailable; respond to call-outs after normal working hours as needed; prepare transient & contractor quarters for occupancy; inventory & replenish amenities in quarters; ensure cleanliness of public restrooms; sweep, mop, wax & vacuum floors in hallways & common-use areas; dust furniture, wash windows & empty trash containers in common-use area; ensure that equipment, storage & maintenance areas are kept clean; ensure areas adjacent to billets & public facilities are free of trash & debris; order & maintain 30-day stock of housekeeping & janitorial supplies; perform related work as assigned.
