Job Details The Alaska Teamster Employer Service Training Trust (ATESTT) is hiring an Apprenticeship & Training Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of Teamster apprenticeship programs.

This position is responsible for:

  • Recruiting apprentices (job fairs, outreach, industry events)
  • Managing application intake and selection process
  • Coordinating training schedules, instructors, and facilities
  • Tracking apprentice hours, progress, and wage increases
  • Supporting job placement with Teamster Business Representatives
  • Managing apprentice progress through to program completion
  • Assisting as a trainer for safety courses (training provided)

Programs include:

  • Construction Driver (CDL)
  • Freight Transport Driver
  • Survey Technician

Requirements:

  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple processes at once
  • Comfortable working with union members and employers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel statewide as needed

Preferred:

  • Teamster or union background
  • Familiarity with trades, transportation, or field work

Benefits:

  • $33.00/hour
  • Pension contribution: $7.00/hour

  • 401k (no employer match)

This is not an entry-level administrative role.

The Coordinator is responsible for keeping apprenticeship programs organized, compliant, and moving forward.
