Job Details | We are seeking a skilled bus fleet technician to perform routine maintenance & repairs on paratransit fleet vehicles. Technicians must be able to work on the entire vehicle & able to self-motivate. Skills: complete routine vehicle preventive maintenance, to include all systems tested for proper operation, chassis & engine lubrication, brake inspections, accessory & ADA equipment, tune-ups & testing/ maintain, adjust and/or repair all vehicle systems, components & parts including hydraulic & electrical systems, brakes steering & suspension & air conditioning systems to ensure safe operation; diagnose vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of engines, transmissions, differential units, alternators, starters, pumps, air suspension systems, radiators, injectors, air conditioning systems & other vehicle systems; perform other related duties as required. Requirements: minimum 3 yrs. experience in automotive mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupations program to be considered for any position. ASE certifications preferred but not required; must have your own tools; be able to lift 70 lbs.; be able to work all shifts (day & evening); must have current driver’s license with clean record; must be able to pass DOT physical & drug screen.
