| Job Details | Job Summary: The AV Equipment Repair Specialist is a hardware repair technician for Windows & Macintosh computers & audio-visual equip. throughout the Anchorage School District (ASD). The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) & is represented by Teamsters Local 959. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 2 yrs. experience within the past 4 yrs. in the field of repairing computers, printers & audio-visual equipment. Work experience must evidence ability to perform tasks assigned. Excellent customer service skills, troubleshooting skills, valid AK driver’s license, provide excellent customer service by phone & in person and the ability to establish & maintain positive working relationships with others. Essential Job Functions: perform hardware and software repairs of computers, printers, and peripheral items; perform repairs of audio-visual equipment, such as overhead projectors, cassette recorders, laminators, and other electronic audio-visual equipment; perform preventative maintenance at schools during the summer months.
