| Job Details | Required Qualifications: 23 years or older, must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public and comprehend DOT and OSHA regulations. No serious moving violations (excessive speeding over 15 mph) or DUI in the previous 5 years. Must have complete set of mechanic’s tools. Must be able to pass a fit for duty test to meet minimum physical demands of the job. Must have Alaska Class A CDL with TX endorsements. Summary of job: The truck and trailer mechanic position is responsible for maintaining company trucks and trailers, including but not limited to: repairing, cleaning and installing equipment, adjusting and maintaining brake systems, road testing equipment to detect and analyze mechanical problems, and perform vehicle inspections.
