Job Details | Job Summary: Warehouse Specialist preform a variety of warehousing Duties that require an understanding of the establishment storage plan. Primary duties: Verify incoming freight and materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; track incoming/outgoing freight; use inventory control program to maintain accurate inventory, digitally receive freight and prepare receiving documents; route materials to prescribed storage locations; regularly maintain accurate inventory counts and adjust accordingly in the inventory management program; remove materials from storage and preparing it for shipment in accordance with the government regulations; fulfill part request s in a timely and efficient manner; prepare documents and inventory transfer; keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse; assisting with training of newly employed workers; process Hazmat for shipping in accordance with IATA. Education, Experience, Skills: High school diploma or GED; ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (T1); good command of English reading, writing and speaking; valid Alaska drivers license; knowledge of supply/inventory terminology and applications; ability to use use Microsoft Office Suite; must be task oriented, self-motivated, with the ability to multitask, and work under pressure to meet deadlines; basic math skills are necessary for the position of material handlers; forklift operating certificate or the ability to obtain forklift certification within three months of hire; must maintain HAZWOPER certification IAW 29 CFR 1910.120, completed within thirty (30) days of accepting position; IATA certification or ability to earn certification within 1 year.
