Job Details | This is a relief position starting immediately through September 19, 2021. Responsible for oversight, planning, organizing and execution of the Local/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). Operates and maintains the Local Area Network/Wide Area Network . Installs, maintains and troubleshoots IT environments including operating systems, local and wide area network infrastructures. Ensures State of Work (SOW) and associated directive publications are adhered to and requirements are met. Prioritizes and assigns help desk job orders, monitors/responds to AFSPC NOSC Directives and responds to government inquiries on network issues. Performs operation functions, configuration control, maintenance, and fault isolation. Works with networking devices to include: routers, switches, firewalls, mail relays and web proxy devices. Maintain web, print, application and file servers. Responsible for network security and anti-virus protection in accordance with government and industry standards. Administrates complete network restore actions as dictated by SOW requirements. Also, coordinates all network operations with on-site network users as well as other locations that may be affected. Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of LAN policies and procedures. Performs the self-inspection and manages the quality programs for the LAN. Performs network and applications training as required and maintains records of that training. Completes appropriate supply paperwork for the requisition and turn-in of government assets. LAN technician reports to the CSSPARS Communications Electronics Manager. CORE Qualifications: CompTIA Security + CE Certification, ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance. Possess at least five years of Network Administration in a Windows/Unix network environment, with three years of Network Administration in a Windows Active Directory environment. Active Directory Management, MS SQL, Windows Server Administration, Network Administration, Cisco/Juniper routers and switches, DHCP, IIS, Desktop OS installation and support for MS Windows and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Ethernet and Fiber network media, System Center Configuration Manager, McAfee Host Based Security System, Acronis Backup, Acrobat and Visio. Desired Qualifications: Microsoft MCP and/or Cisco Certification preferred.
