Job DetailsPrimary Duties involve a variety of the following: replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures & motors; patch minor holes & cracks in walls & ceiling using plaster or compounds; repair or replace concrete floors, steps & sidewalks; replace damaged paneling or floor tiles; hang & install doors & locks; replace broken windows panes; perform general maintenance on equipment & machinery; prep mask, texture & paint surfaces of interior & exterior of structures & equipment; replace and/or repair faucets, sinks, toilets & tub surrounds; remove door casings, floor coverings, including tack strips or adhesives; replace floor tiles; all other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, Skills: High school diploma or GED equivalent; valid AK driver’s license; minimum two (2) years experience working in two (2) or more maintenance trades; must be able to lift up to 50lbs. & team lift 50lbs or more; must be able to communicate clearly (oral & written) in English language with internal & external clients & co-workers; knowledge of hand tools & their uses; knowledge of acceptable construction maintenance practices including occupational safety & health regulations; must be able to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions; required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference & background check results to obtain access to military base; must have reliable transportation to & from work to obtain access to military installation.
