Job DetailsResponsible for oversight, planning, organizing and execution of the Local/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). Operates and maintains the Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). Installs, maintains, and troubleshoot IT environments including operating systems, local and wide area network infrastructures. Ensures Performance Work Statement (PWS) and associated directive publications are adhered to, and requirements are met. Prioritizes and assigns help desk job orders, monitors/responds to Network Operations Squadron (NOS) directives and responds to government inquiries on network issues. Performs operation functions, configuration control, maintenance, and fault isolation. Works with networking devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, mail relays and web proxy devices. Maintain web, print, application, and file servers. Responsible for record keeping required to up-date and maintain maps, tables and drawings that depict network configuration. Responsible for network security and anti-virus protection in accordance with government and industry standards. Administrators complete network restore actions as dictated by PWS requirements.  Also, coordinates all network operations with on-site network users as well as other locations that may be affected. Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of LAN policies and procedures. Performs the self-inspection and manages the quality programs for the LAN. Performs network and applications training as required and maintains records of that training. Completes appropriate supply paperwork for the requisition and turn-in of government assets. Also responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for the assigned LRDR Information Systems. Implements and enforce all government cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures. Completes and maintains required cybersecurity certification IAW government instructions. Conduct annual security reviews of all cybersecurity controls and test selected cybersecurity controls. Provide artifacts to the requesting ISSM for Cybersecurity control validation and inclusion into the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) package, using System Information System Security Manager (ISSM) provided guidance. Perform Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II requirements and maintain Cybersecurity certification and current applicable operating system and/or computing environment certifications. The ISSO will assist the ISSM meeting their duties and responsibilities. LRDR ISSO/LAN technicians reports to the Communications Electronics Manager.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS: Requires CompTIA Security+ CE certification. Ability to obtain Secret or higher security clearance. Possess at least two years of Cybersecurity Professional experience. With at least three years of Network Administration in a Windows/Unix network environment, with three years of Network Administration in a Windows Active Directory environment. Strong knowledge in Active Directory Management, Windows Server administration, Network administration, network printer installation, Cisco routers and switches, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SolarWinds NMS, MS SQL, Microsoft Office applications and MS Windows OS installation and support.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Worked on government Information System. Held position of ISSO or ISSM. Security Engineer with Microsoft and/or Cisco Certifications preferred.
