||This position is a temporary Full-Time position beginning October 2020 through March of 2021. This is a 12-hour weekend day shift position 8:00am – 8:30pm Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Job Duties: Perform carpentry work in renovation, alteration & maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, partitions, door, windows, wooden fixtures & other housing components & playground equipment, fit doors, free windows, replace & build shelves, sand & refinish floors, install hardware on doors, windows, furniture, install windows & doors, inspect vacating units to determine damages & maintenance needs, install new equipment, appliances, fixtures & parts, modify existing system, perform remodeling to include painting, plastering, sheetrock & tiling.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; valid Alaska drivers license; ability to be insured by the company’s auto insurance; prior maintenance experience or experience in related field required; desired greater experience and skills in one or more of the following trades, building construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and auto mechanic preferred; ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions; ability o work independently and willingness to learn.
