Job DetailsPrimary Responsibility: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on theĀ  AN/FPS-117 radar systems; signal and multi-channel ground-air-ground (GAG) radios in the ultra-high frequency/very high frequency (UHF/VHF) rages; Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS), and other weather equipment; telephone systems; computer systems; public address systems ; supervisory control access data acquisition (SCADA) systems; preform site logistics requirements, tracking requisitions; breaking down and inventorying materials upon receipt; preparing materials for shipment; documenting materials shipped including hazardous and dangerous goods documentation.

CoreĀ Qualifications: Successful completion of a recognized course in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar program of study from a recognized technical/vocational school; at least two (2) years experience and proficient knowledge in the the maintenance and operation of the AN/FPS-117 radar; successful completion of AN/FPS-117 on the job training and classroom training’ successful obtainment of a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) General Radio Operator License (GROL) within 90 days; ability to speak, read and write English proficiently enough to complete all employment duties; working knowledge of computers and typical applications including work processing (MS word) spreadsheets (Excel) and database ( MS Access); formal training or demonstrated ability in food services, including menu planning and meal preparation for groups of 10 or more people; demonstrated ability in using military supply system to requisition equipment, supplies, parts, and other materials; shipping materials using military or commercial air transportation; preparing, handling and receiving materials; knowledge of military Technical Order management; strong problem- solving and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with co-workers and customer representatives; possession of a valid state operators license; ability to obtain a final security clearance at the SECRET level; ability to travel in small aircraft and be prepared to remain overnight in small villages in substandard accommodations; current biennial CPR and First AID certifications; food handlers certification.

Secondary Qualifications: Ability to obtain a current military weather certification; certification or demonstrated competence in operating equipment required for logistic functions at the site, such as forklifts and tools carries configured for forklift operations.
