| Job Details | Essential duties: Drives vehicle to specified destination in accordance with company procedures and governmental regulations. Loads and unloads trailer, either individually or with assistance of dock workers, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment. Secures loads by using cargo straps, tarps, ropes, chains lumber and other tools. Hooks and unhooks trailers from tractor or from converter dollies. Responsible for inspection of vehicle and ensures that all shipping documents are available and complete. Qualification requirements: High school diploma or GED, plus one to two years tractor trailer driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have current Class A CDL with hazardous materials endorsement and may be required to obtain a doubles endorsement. A complete job description is available in the Fairbanks dispatch office.
